// About
Serial entrepreneur.
Building at 3AM.
I'm Dave Birnie. Chatham, Ontario. Christian, husband, father of three. Full-time IT and Facilities at a local Community Health Centre during the day. Serial entrepreneur at night. Everything you see here was built between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning.

// The Founder's Reality
No highlight reel. Just the truth.
I've been diagnosed with major depressive disorder and anxiety. I build through it, not around it. That is part of the story too.
I haven't watched TV in over three years. Fun means family time. Everything else is mission-aligned. The alarm goes off at 2:45 AM and the first thing that happens is prayer. Coffee brews during that.
6.5 hours of sleep. Two hours of building. One hour of documentation and overflow. Then a full day of work, and a full evening of family. That is the whole model.
// Where This Started
January 2026.
The Valley
I hit a low point. Not circumstantial. Deep, persistent, without obvious cause. The worst mental stretch in recent memory for someone who already knows what depression looks like. I stayed faithful. Kept praying.
The Spark
A stranger approached me and said:
“David is a beautiful name. Do you understand David in the Bible?”
That landed differently. David wrote the Psalms through joy, grief, anger, fear. He wrote to God through everything. On my birthday, I went downstairs and wrote out my raw emotions.
The Explosion
That expression became a song. Then four songs in four days. Then a full album in three weeks, produced with Suno AI. The lyrics were raw, worshipful, and real. I published them. But something else happened. Waking up from that darkness lit a creative flame that would not shut off.
FamilyLock
Before any of this was public, I had already built FamilyLock.ca: a private PHP and MySQL family productivity platform running on my home infrastructure. Life stats, gamified dashboards, task systems, goal tracking, all of it built for myself and my family. That private system is the origin of everything in the 3AM CEO platform. I built tools to run my life. Then I realized those tools could help other people run theirs.
// Non-Negotiable
The Priority Stack.
Every entrepreneur talks about sacrifice. This is the actual order I operate in. Every business decision, every build session, every hour spent runs through this stack. Not aspirationally. Actually. Click each one to understand why.

// The Track Record
Businesses Built.
Three built. Two sold. Each one funded the next lesson. Now I build in public.
// The Arsenal
How I Build.
I use every AI tool available to me, not as a crutch but as a force multiplier for someone who only has 3 hours a day to build.

“I am not trying to prove something to the world. I am trying to build something for my family in the only hours that are mine to spend.”
Watch it happen in real time.
The platform is free. The journey is public. Every decision, every mistake, every dollar gets documented.
